Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a single-storey, architecturally distinctive building shaped to reflect Aboriginal cultural design, set in bushland near Yellow Water Billabong at Cooinda. Inside, there are curated exhibition galleries with artefacts, photographs, artworks, didactic panels and multimedia displays explaining Bininj/Mungguy kinship, seasonal calendars, hunting, food gathering and Dreaming stories. Visitors can browse interpretive displays at their own pace, visit the gift shop for Aboriginal arts and crafts, and use the centre as an orientation point for understanding Kakadu National Park.
