About Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi
Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi is a 72-hectare public park in the Adelaide Park Lands (Park 16), east of Adelaide city centre between Fullarton Road, Greenhill Road and East Terrace. Part of Colonel William Light's 1837 Park Lands plan, it served as Adelaide's main horse racing venue from 1846 to 2008 and is now a major recreational open space with wetlands, sports ovals, and walking and cycling tracks.
