About Twin Falls (Springbrook)
Twin Falls is a double cascade waterfall in Springbrook National Park on the Gold Coast hinterland, Queensland, within the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area. Accessed via the 4 km Twin Falls Circuit from Tallanbana or Canyon lookouts, the falls drop over basalt cliffs into a rainforest gorge. Notable for a track that passes behind the curtain of water through a rock cave, it is surrounded by ancient Antarctic beech forest and subtropical rainforest.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a rainforest walking experience in Springbrook National Park to a twin cascade waterfall flowing over basalt cliffs. The Twin Falls Circuit is a 4 km loop through subtropical and temperate rainforest with lookouts, creek crossings and a rock cave that allows the track to pass behind the falls. The area is lush, shaded and often misty, with ferns, palms and tall forest. There is no swimming area at the base; the focus is on sightseeing, photography and nature walking.
