About Tung Prong Thong
Tung Prong Thong is a protected mangrove forest at the Prasae River estuary in Pak Nam Prasae, Klaeng District, Rayong Province. Known as the Golden Mangrove Field, it is noted for dense Ceriops and Rhizophora trees whose young leaves appear golden in sunlight. A wooden boardwalk of about 2 kilometers allows visitors to explore the wetland, which was restored as a conservation and community eco-tourism project and is now a popular nature attraction in eastern Thailand.
