About Tiruneeragam Jagadishwara Perumal Shrine
Tiruneeragam Jagadishwara Perumal Shrine is a Vishnu shrine located inside the Ekambareswarar Temple complex in Periya Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. It is one of the 108 Divya Desams revered in Vaishnavism and dedicated to Jagadishwara Perumal with consort Nilamangai Valli. The shrine is small and housed within the larger Shaivite temple precinct, traditionally associated with Thirumangai Alvar's hymns and visited by pilgrims combining Shaivite and Vaishnavite circuits in Kanchipuram.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a small, modest shrine housed within the expansive Ekambareswarar Temple complex, not a standalone large temple. The shrine contains the image of Jagadishwara Perumal facing west and Nilamangai Valli. Access is through the main Ekambareswarar Temple gopurams and courtyards. The setting is a busy pilgrimage precinct with stone mandapas, corridors and temple tanks. Darshan is brief and typically combined with a visit to the main Shiva temple.
