History of Thai An Grape Village
Thai An developed as a specialized grape cultivation area from the 1990s as part of agricultural development in the arid coastal zone of former Ninh Thuan Province. Grape farming, including the NH01-48 variety, became a key livelihood and later expanded into agritourism, with vineyards opened to visitors alongside traditional farming.
Culture & Context
The village represents the agricultural culture of the coastal arid region and the adaptation of viticulture to semi-arid conditions. It showcases local farming knowledge, community-based agritourism, and grape-based products that are characteristic of the Ninh Hai area and are often associated with the broader cultural landscape near Nui Chua Biosphere Reserve.
