About Tawaen Beach
Tawaen Beach is the longest and most visited beach on Koh Lan, a small island about 7 kilometers off Pattaya in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. The approximately 750-meter white-sand beach on the island's north coast is known for clear shallow water, rows of sun loungers and umbrellas, beachfront restaurants and shops, and a wide range of water sports. It is accessible by ferry or speedboat from Pattaya's Bali Hai Pier and is popular for day trips.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a wide, curved white-sand beach with clear turquoise water on the north side of Koh Lan. The beachfront is lined with sun loungers, umbrellas, open-air restaurants, souvenir shops and water sports operators. The sea is generally calm for swimming and wading, with designated areas for parasailing, jet skiing and banana boat rides. The beach is busy, especially on weekends, with a lively, resort atmosphere and views of nearby islands and boats anchored offshore.
