About Tacang Small Water Impounding Project
The Tacang Small Water Impounding Project is a small-scale water storage and irrigation infrastructure located in Barangay Tacang, Santa Marcela, Apayao in northern Luzon, Philippines. Developed under the Department of Agriculture's Small Water Impounding Project program, it impounds seasonal runoff to support irrigated rice production and provide supplemental water during dry periods. The earthen dam and reservoir serve farming communities in the lowland municipality within the Apayao-Abulug River basin.
