Street Art Kota Bharu

Street Art Kota Bharu is an open-air public art display in the centre of Kota Bharu, Kelantan, concentrated along lanes near Jalan Ismail, Jalan Temenggong and Jalan Parit Dalam. The murals and wall paintings depict Kelantanese cultural themes, traditional crafts, daily life and local heritage. Created as part of city beautification and tourism initiatives, the artworks transform back alleys and building walls into walkable galleries that reflect the city's identity and attract photography-focused visitors.

Visitors can expect a walkable cluster of large wall murals and paintings on building facades and alley walls in central Kota Bharu. The artworks are outdoors along public streets and lanes, depicting traditional Kelantanese motifs such as wayang kulit, batik, kites (wau), and everyday scenes. The area is surrounded by shops, cafes and heritage buildings. Visitors explore on foot, viewing murals at street level and taking photographs. No ticketed enclosure; the art is integrated into the urban environment.

The street art was developed as part of Kota Bharu beautification and tourism promotion efforts to revitalize back lanes and showcase local heritage through public art, with murals added progressively from the mid-2010s by local artists
