About Smritika Museum
Smritika Museum is a small history museum located on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island, formerly Ross Island, about 2 km east of Port Blair in the Andaman Islands. Housed in a restored British-era bungalow that was once the Chief Commissioner's residence, it is maintained by the Indian Navy. The museum displays archival photographs, documents and artefacts depicting the island's British colonial administration, Japanese occupation period and naval history.
