About Sky Mirror
Sky Mirror is a vast tidal sandbar located 1.74 nautical miles off the coast of Sasaran Beach near Jeram in Kuala Selangor, Selangor. Exposed only during low tide, especially around the new and full moon, its shallow, glassy water creates a perfect mirror reflection of the sky. Discovered by local fishermen and developed for tourism around 2016, it is now a popular photography and nature attraction accessible only by boat.
Visitors guide
Visitors take a 30-40 minute boat ride from Sasaran Jetty to a wide, flat sandbank in the middle of the sea that appears only at low tide. At the site, ankle-deep clear water covers fine sand, creating a mirror effect ideal for creative reflection photography. The surroundings are open sea and sky with no permanent structures on the sandbar. Guides assist with photography tricks and visitors can explore the shallow flat, observe small marine life like sea clams and baby clams, and take group photos before water rises.
