About Sitapur Beach
Sitapur Beach is a scenic beach on the eastern tip of Shaheed Dweep (Neil Island) in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, about 5 km from Neil Jetty. Known for its sunrise views, white sandy shoreline, turquoise waters and surrounding limestone vegetation, it is one of the quieter beaches on the island. The beach offers an open seascape with natural rock formations and is valued for photography, leisure walks and tranquil surroundings away from crowded tourist spots.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a relatively secluded, open beach with white sand, clear turquoise water and vegetation-lined shores on the easternmost point of Shaheed Dweep. The beach is best known for sunrise views over the sea. The shoreline is wide and natural with limited development, suitable for walking, photography and relaxing. Swimming is sometimes possible but depends on sea conditions and local advisories. Facilities are minimal, and the area remains quiet compared to Bharatpur and Laxmanpur beaches.
