About Silay Heritage Houses
The Silay Heritage Houses are a collection of well-preserved ancestral homes in Silay City, Negros Occidental, often called the Paris of Negros. Located about 15 kilometers north of Bacolod, the ensemble includes 31 heritage structures declared by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. Built between the late 19th and early 20th centuries by sugar barons during the sugar boom, the houses showcase American colonial and bahay na bato architecture and now function as museums and cultural landmarks.
