About Sesayap River
Sesayap River (Sungai Sesayap) is the principal river of Tana Tidung Regency in North Kalimantan, Indonesia, flowing from the interior highlands of Borneo to the Sulawesi Sea. Stretching over 200 kilometers, it serves as the main transportation corridor and lifeline for riverside settlements including Tideng Pale, the regency capital. Notable for its wide brown-water channel, tidal estuary, mangrove fringes and traditional Tidung villages, the river offers scenic boat travel and insight into local riverine life.
