History of Seran Lake
Seran Lake occupies a former diamond mining excavation in the Banjarbaru-Cempaka area, a region historically known for diamond mining since the Banjar Sultanate and Dutch colonial period. After mining activity ceased, the pit filled naturally with rainwater and groundwater, forming the present lake which has since been utilized as a local recreation area.
