Santisima Trinidad Church

The Santisima Trinidad Church, also known as Loay Church, is a Roman Catholic heritage church located in Poblacion, Loay, Bohol, Philippines, near the mouth of the Loboc River. Founded as a parish in 1795 and built in 1822 by the Augustinian Recollects, it is noted for its historic coral stone architecture, heritage designation, and restoration after the 2013 Bohol earthquake. It remains an active parish and a key stop on Bohol's heritage church circuit.

Visitors can expect a historic coral-stone church facing the sea near the Loboc River mouth in Loay town proper. The exterior shows a simple Baroque facade with a separate bell tower, while the interior features a nave, altar, religious images, and restored finishes following post-earthquake rehabilitation. The surrounding plaza and riverside setting allow for exterior viewing, photography, and quiet observation of an active parish environment.

Established as a parish in 1795 under the Augustinian Recollects, with the present coral-stone church constructed in 1822. The church is part of Bohol's Spanish colonial heritage churches and sustained major damage during the 7.2-magnitude 2013 Bohol earthquake, after which it underwent extensive restoration and conservation to preserve its historic structure.
