About Royal Australian Mint
The Royal Australian Mint in Deakin, Canberra, is Australia's sole producer of circulating coins and a public visitor attraction. Opened in 1965, it manufactures all Australian circulating coins and produces collector and commemorative coins. The facility includes a factory viewing area, museum with the National Coin Collection, and exhibitions on coin history and production. It is notable as the first mint in Australia not to be a branch of the Royal Mint in London.
