About Red Sand Dunes
The Red Sand Dunes are a coastal dune formation in Mui Ne Ward, Phan Thiet, Lam Dong Province, about 20 km northeast of Phan Thiet city center. Known for their distinctive reddish-orange sand, the dunes were formed by wind-blown sand accumulated over time. They are one of Mui Ne's most visited natural landmarks, offering panoramic views of the coastline, Mui Ne Beach and nearby fishing village.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect undulating slopes of fine reddish-orange and white sand forming a semi-desert landscape near the coast. The area is open with little shade, offering wide views over the sea and Mui Ne. Visitors can walk on the dunes, take photographs, rent plastic sandboards for sliding down gentle slopes, and watch sunrise or sunset.
