About Quinninup Falls
Quinninup Falls is a seasonal waterfall on Quinninup Brook within Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park near Wilyabrup in the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River, Western Australia. Accessed via a short bush trail from Moses Rock Road, the falls flow over granite and limestone cliffs into a coastal gully. Notable for its winter and spring flow, surrounding karri and peppermint forest, and proximity to the coastline, it is a popular short walk for nature and photography visitors.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a short return bushwalk through coastal heath and peppermint and karri forest to a seasonal cascade that drops into a rocky gully. The trail from Moses Rock Road is unsealed, uneven and includes some steep and slippery sections. When flowing in winter and spring, the falls create a small plunge pool surrounded by mossy rocks. There are no built structures at the falls itself; the experience is natural and quiet with ocean views near the trailhead.
