About Pine Creek Railway Station and Train Museum
The Pine Creek Railway Station and Train Museum is a heritage-listed railway precinct on Railway Terrace in Pine Creek, Northern Territory, about 90 km north of Katherine. Built in 1888-1889 as the terminus of the Palmerston to Pine Creek narrow-gauge line to serve the Pine Creek goldfields, it preserves the original station building, locomotive and rolling stock. The volunteer-run museum displays railway memorabilia and illustrates the North Australia Railway's role in mining and wartime history.
