About Phimai Historical Park
Phimai Historical Park is a major Khmer temple complex located in Nai Mueang, Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, northeastern Thailand. Enclosed by laterite walls and moats, it is the largest Khmer sanctuary in Thailand, built between the late 11th and late 12th centuries. Centered on Prasat Phimai, the park showcases classical Angkor architecture, intricate carvings, and Mahayana Buddhist influences, linked historically to the Angkor road network.
