About Penong Windmill Museum
Penong Windmill Museum is an open-air museum located on the Eyre Highway at Penong, about 71 km west of Ceduna in South Australia. It displays a large collection of restored windmills illustrating the evolution of wind-powered water pumping technology used on the Eyre Peninsula. Notable for housing one of Australia's largest windmills, the museum documents agricultural and pastoral history and serves as a popular roadside stop for travellers crossing the Nullarbor.
