About Pantai Tengah
Pantai Tengah is a sandy beach on the southwestern coast of Langkawi Island in Kedah, Malaysia, located just south of the busier Pantai Cenang. Known for its calmer atmosphere, it features a long stretch of white sand lined with resorts, restaurants and bars. The beach is notable for swimming, sunset views and water sports, offering a more relaxed alternative while remaining close to central tourist amenities and island-hopping departure points.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a wide, sandy shoreline with relatively calm, shallow water, backed by beachfront resorts, chalets, restaurants, bars and massage parlours. The beach is less crowded than Pantai Cenang, with sun loungers, palm trees and views of offshore islands and the Strait of Malacca. Visitors can swim, sunbathe, walk along the shore, photograph sunsets, join jet-ski and parasailing activities, and book island-hopping boat tours from nearby jetties. Dining and shops are within walking distance along Jalan Pantai Tengah.
