About Pantai Jambu Bongkok
Pantai Jambu Bongkok is a long sandy beach located in the village of Jambu Bongkok in Marang District, Terengganu, on Malaysia's east coast. Stretching for several kilometres along the South China Sea, it is known for its wide shoreline, casuarina trees and relatively undeveloped, tranquil setting. The beach is popular for leisurely walks, picnics and sunset views, and is less crowded than beaches closer to Kuala Terengganu.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a long, wide sandy shoreline backed by casuarina trees and open views of the South China Sea. The beach is largely undeveloped and quiet, with basic amenities such as parking areas, gazebos, toilets and small food stalls. Areas are suitable for walking, picnicking, photography and fishing. The sea is generally calm outside the monsoon season, but there are no lifeguards and facilities are basic compared to resort beaches.
