About Orchid and Hibiscus Gardens
The Orchid and Hibiscus Gardens are two adjoining themed gardens within the Perdana Botanical Gardens in Kuala Lumpur. Located in Tasik Perdana, they showcase Malaysia's national flower, the hibiscus (Bunga Raya), and a diverse collection of orchids. Established in the 1980s within the historic Lake Gardens, the gardens feature landscaped displays, pergolas, fountains and shaded walkways, serving as a botanical attraction and conservation display.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect landscaped garden areas with paved walkways, pergolas, arches and fountains displaying hundreds of orchid hybrids and hibiscus varieties. The Orchid Garden features terraced beds, a semi-circular pergola and a bromeliad and cactus section. The Hibiscus Garden displays the national flower in various colours and forms, with ponds, gazebos and interpretive panels. Both gardens are set within the larger Perdana Botanical Gardens with tropical trees and open lawns.
