About Nungnung Waterfall
Nungnung Waterfall is a 50-meter waterfall located in Nungnung Village, Petang District, Badung Regency, central Bali, Indonesia. Surrounded by dense tropical forest and agricultural land, it is considered one of the tallest waterfalls on the island. Access requires descending approximately 500 steep steps through lush vegetation. The waterfall is known for its powerful flow, misty pool at the base, and relatively undeveloped natural setting compared to more commercialized waterfalls in Bali.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a descent of approximately 500 steep concrete steps through dense tropical forest to reach a narrow gorge with a tall, powerful 50-meter waterfall plunging into a shallow pool. The setting is lush and shaded with high cliffs, mist and cool air near the base. There is a small viewing area and pool where visitors can wade or swim when conditions allow, and photo spots along the trail and at the base. Facilities are basic and the site retains a natural, less commercialized atmosphere.
