History of Nun Peak
Nun Peak (7,135 m) was first climbed in 1953 by a French-Swiss expedition led by Pierre Vittoz with climbers Claude Kogan and Pierre Vittoz via the west ridge. Its twin Kun (7,077 m) was first climbed earlier in 1913 by an Italian expedition led by Mario Piacenza. The Nun Kun massif has since been a significant mountaineering objective in the western Himalayas.
