About Mundaring Weir
Mundaring Weir is a historic dam and reservoir located in the Perth Hills, about 40 kilometres east of Perth in the Shire of Mundaring, Western Australia. Completed in 1903 to the design of engineer C. Y. O'Connor, it impounds the Helena River to form Lake C. Y. O'Connor and supplies water via the Goldfields Water Supply Scheme to Kalgoorlie, 560 kilometres away. The site combines engineering heritage, forested reservoir scenery and walking trails.
