About Mount Nameless
Mount Nameless, traditionally known as Jarndunmunha, is a prominent peak in the Hamersley Range immediately west of Tom Price in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Rising to about 1,128 metres, it is the highest peak accessible by vehicle in the state. Notable for its steep 4WD track to the summit, it offers panoramic views over Tom Price, the Hamersley Ranges and surrounding mining landscape and is a popular sightseeing and photography destination.
Visitors guide
Visitors can drive a steep, unsealed 4WD track to the summit plateau of Mount Nameless where a large open area serves as a natural lookout. Expect expansive 360-degree views over the town of Tom Price, the Hamersley Range, Karijini National Park surrounds and nearby iron ore mines. The landscape is arid, rocky and sparsely vegetated with spinifex. There are no buildings or shops at the top, just informal parking and viewing areas for sightseeing, photography and short walks around the summit.
