About Mount Conner Lookout
Mount Conner Lookout is a roadside viewpoint on the Lasseter Highway in the Petermann locality of the Northern Territory, about 75 kilometres southeast of Curtin Springs and east of Uluru. It provides an elevated, unobstructed view of Mount Conner, a large flat-topped mesa often mistaken for Uluru. The lookout is a popular stop for travellers between Alice Springs and Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to view the desert landscape, salt pans and mesa.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a simple roadside pull-off on the Lasseter Highway with a gravel parking bay and interpretive signage. The lookout offers open, panoramic views across flat desert plains and salt pans to the prominent mesa of Mount Conner to the south.
