About Marino Conservation Park
Marino Conservation Park is a small coastal conservation park in the suburb of Marino within the City of Marion, about 15 km south of Adelaide, South Australia. Proclaimed in 1989 to protect remnant coastal heath on cliffs overlooking Gulf St Vincent, it preserves one of the last intact pre-European coastal plant communities on the Adelaide Plains. The park is noted for its 1.5 km Botanical Trail, seasonal wildflower displays and panoramic coastal views.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a compact cliff-top reserve with a well-marked 1.5 km Botanical Trail loop through low coastal heath and native grasses. The trail features interpretive signs identifying plant species, open views over Gulf St Vincent and the Adelaide coastline, and opportunities for birdwatching and photography. There are no buildings or visitor centre inside the park; the setting is natural and exposed with unfenced cliff edges, bench seating at intervals and unsealed natural surfaces.
