Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a guided downstream ride on a traditional bamboo raft (rakit bambu) steered by a local boatman using a bamboo pole along the shallow, clear Amandit River. The route passes through tropical rainforest of the Meratus Mountains, small rapids, rocky riverbanks, and Dayak Meratus villages. The setting is natural and rural with forested hills, riverside huts, and simple embarkation points. Visitors sit on bamboo benches on the raft and can observe forest scenery, river landscapes, and local riverside life.
