About Lingsar Temple
Lingsar Temple (Pura Lingsar) is a historic temple complex in Lingsar village, West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, about 9 km east of Mataram. Built in 1714, it is notable as a symbol of religious harmony where Balinese Hindus worship at Pura Gaduh and Sasak followers of Wetu Telu worship at Kemaliq within the same compound. The complex is centered around a sacred spring and is famous for its holy eels and annual Perang Topat festival.
