Life Community Museum Buengkan

The Life Community Museum Buengkan is a community museum in So Phisai District, Bueng Kan Province, northeastern Thailand. It preserves and presents the traditional way of life, culture and local wisdom of the Isan people in the Bueng Kan area. Exhibits include everyday tools, household items, agricultural implements, textiles and photographs that illustrate rural livelihoods, customs and community history for visitors and educational purposes.

Visitors can expect a small community-managed indoor exhibition focused on the rural Isan way of life in So Phisai and greater Bueng Kan. Displays typically include traditional household items, farming and fishing tools, textiles, handicrafts and archival photographs with Thai-language explanations. Some areas recreate traditional living spaces. The environment is quiet and educational, designed for self-guided walk-through and learning about local heritage rather than large-scale interactive installations.

The museum was established to preserve and transmit the history and heritage of communities in So Phisai and Bueng Kan Province, which became Thailand's newest province in 2011 after separating from Nong Khai. It documents rural settlement, agricultural traditions and community development in the upper northeastern region.

The museum highlights Isan cultural identity, local wisdom, traditional crafts, textiles and agricultural practices of the Bueng Kan area, serving as an educational resource for community members and visitors to understand local customs and way of life.
