Situated about 30 km from Chandauli town near the forests of the Naugarh region, it is a locally revered Shakti shrine. The temple attracts devotees especially during Navratri when a large fair is held. Surrounded by rural landscape, it serves as an important religious and cultural center for the region.

Visitors can expect a modest rural temple complex dedicated to Goddess Lehra Devi with a sanctum housing the deity idol, an open courtyard and surrounding village landscape. The setting is quiet on regular days and becomes crowded during Navratri and other festivals with temporary stalls, devotional gatherings and fair activities. Visitors can have darshan, offer prayers, observe local rituals and explore the surrounding agricultural and forested area.

Lehra Devi Temple is a long-established local shrine in the Chandauli region with traditions linking it to Shakti worship. It has served for generations as the gram devi (village goddess) temple for Lehra and surrounding villages, with its prominence maintained through annual fairs and community patronage.

The temple is culturally significant as a Shakti Peetha for local devotees and a center for Navratri celebrations. During Sharad and Chaitra Navratri, devotees gather for prayers, offerings and a traditional mela, reflecting regional folk religious practices and community gatherings.
