About Ko Rok
Ko Rok is a pair of uninhabited islands, Ko Rok Nai and Ko Rok Nok, in the Andaman Sea within Mu Ko Lanta National Park, Krabi Province, about 30 km south of Ko Lanta Yai. Renowned for white sand beaches, clear turquoise water and intact coral reefs, the islands are protected as a national park. Accessible only by boat on day trips, they offer snorkeling, diving and beach activities with no permanent development beyond a ranger station and campsite.
Visitors guide
Visitors arrive by speedboat or longtail boat to find two small islands separated by a narrow channel. Ko Rok Nai has a crescent white-sand beach, ranger station, campsite and shallow bay ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Ko Rok Nok offers a smaller beach and reef close to shore. Expect clear water, coral reefs with tropical fish, soft sand, limited shade, no resorts or shops, and basic national park facilities. Most visits are guided day trips with snorkeling stops around both islands.
