About Kawasan Falls
Kawasan Falls is a three-tiered waterfall system on the Matutinao River in Barangay Matutinao, Badian, southwestern Cebu, Philippines. Located about 130 kilometers southwest of Cebu City, it is known for its turquoise pools, limestone formations and surrounding jungle. The falls are a major natural attraction in Cebu, popular for swimming, trekking and canyoneering, with the main cascade dropping into a large basin accessible via a short trail.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a short trek of about 1.5 km from the entrance through a paved trail alongside the Matutinao River to reach three levels of falls. The main falls features a wide cascade dropping into a large turquoise pool surrounded by limestone cliffs and dense forest.
