About Kantiang Bay
Kantiang Bay is a crescent-shaped sandy beach on the southern tip of Ko Lanta Yai in Ko Lanta District, Krabi Province, Thailand. Fringed by limestone hills and palm trees, it is known for its clear turquoise water, soft sand and tranquil atmosphere away from the island's busier northern beaches. The bay hosts several resorts and restaurants while retaining a secluded character, offering swimming, snorkeling and sunset views.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a roughly 1 km curved bay of soft sand bordered by forested hills and rocky headlands at both ends. The water is generally clear and calm in the dry season, suitable for swimming and wading, with snorkeling around rocks at the bay's edges. The beachfront is lined with resorts, restaurants and beach bars with sun loungers. The setting is quiet and less developed than central Ko Lanta beaches, with open views west over the Andaman Sea ideal for sunset viewing.
