Kankaria Kids City

Kankaria Kids City is a children's edutainment theme park located within the Kankaria Lakefront complex in Maninagar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Developed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation as part of the Kankaria Lakefront redevelopment, it features a miniature city where children role-play professions. The attraction combines learning with recreation through interactive replicas of real-world establishments, making it a notable family-oriented destination within the larger Kankaria recreational area.

Visitors can expect a miniature indoor and semi-outdoor city designed for children, with scaled-down replicas of a bank, hospital, fire station, police station, supermarket, radio station and other civic establishments. Children can dress up and role-play different professions under staff guidance. The setting is within the developed Kankaria Lakefront promenade, with themed interiors, activity zones, and learning-based play areas. Parents can observe from designated areas while children participate in guided interactive sessions.

Kankaria Kids City was developed as part of the Kankaria Lakefront redevelopment project undertaken by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation to revitalize the historic Kankaria Lake area. The lake itself was built in 1451, and the lakefront was redeveloped in 2008 onwards with new attractions including Kids City, which was added around 2015-2016 to provide educational recreation for children.

The attraction serves as an educational and recreational cultural space for families, promoting learning through play and familiarizing children with civic roles and community services in an interactive, city-themed environment.
