About Kamphaeng Saen Ancient City
Kamphaeng Saen Ancient City is a Dvaravati-period moated settlement in Kamphaeng Saen District, Nakhon Pathom Province, about 30 km northwest of Nakhon Pathom town. The rectangular site measures approximately 2 km by 1 km, enclosed by earthen ramparts and a moat. Excavated by Silpakorn University, it has yielded pottery, beads and religious artifacts dating from the 7th to 11th centuries, illustrating early urban planning in central Thailand.
