About Jurien Bay Marine Park
Jurien Bay Marine Park is a protected marine reserve along Western Australia's central west coast in the Shire of Dandaragan, extending from Green Head to south of Wedge Island and encompassing islands, reefs and seagrass beds. Established in 2003, it protects diverse temperate marine ecosystems, Australian sea lion colonies, and limestone reef systems. The park is notable for snorkelling, diving, fishing and wildlife viewing in clear turquoise waters near the town of Jurien Bay, about 220 km north of Perth.
