About Gilgandra Rural Museum
The Gilgandra Rural Museum is a community heritage museum in central Gilgandra, New South Wales, on Castlereagh Street. Established by the Gilgandra Historical Society, it preserves the agricultural and pioneering history of the Gilgandra district. Notable for its large collection of vintage farm machinery, windmills, horse-drawn equipment and Coo-ee March memorabilia, it documents rural life and the town's role as the starting point of the 1915 Coo-ee recruitment march.
