History of Farm Shed Museum
The museum documents the development of dryland farming on Yorke Peninsula from the 1860s, the Cornish copper mining boom at Kadina, Moonta and Wallaroo, and the displacement and continuity of Narungga people. Its collection preserves machinery and social history illustrating how agriculture sustained the region after mining declined, and Matta House (1863) illustrates Cornish miner housing.
Culture & Context
The museum interprets the cultural heritage of the Narungga people as traditional owners and the Cornish mining heritage that led to the Copper Coast's National Heritage listing, reflecting the region's identity as Australia's Little Cornwall.
