About Devuni Kadapa Venkateswara Swamy Temple
Devuni Kadapa Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple is a historic Hindu temple located in Devuni Kadapa on the outskirts of Kadapa city, Andhra Pradesh. Dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, it is traditionally regarded as the gateway to Tirumala and called Tirumala Tholi Gadapa. Notable for Vijayanagara-style architecture, its eastern gopuram, carved mandapas and inscriptions, the temple is an important pilgrimage centre administered in affiliation with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a traditional South Indian temple complex with a tall eastern gopuram, pillared mandapas, stone carvings and a sanctum enshrining Lord Venkateswara with Goddess Lakshmi. The temple courtyard is paved and surrounded by subsidiary shrines, including Hanuman and Alwars. The setting is urban yet devotional, with queues for darshan, prasadam counters, and festival decorations during Brahmotsavams. Pilgrims typically perform darshan, offer prayers and circumambulate the main shrine.
