About D'Entrecasteaux National Park
D'Entrecasteaux National Park is a large coastal national park in south-west Western Australia stretching about 130 kilometres from Black Point to Long Point south of Pemberton and Windy Harbour in the Shire of Manjimup. Notable for its wild Southern Ocean coastline, the mobile Yeagarup Dunes, basalt columns at Black Point, freshwater lakes including Lake Jasper, and extensive heathlands, it protects remote beaches, 4WD tracks, campgrounds and diverse flora and fauna.
Visitors guide
Visitors can expect a remote, largely undeveloped coastal wilderness with long sandy beaches, rugged limestone cliffs, large mobile sand dunes, freshwater lakes and rivers, coastal heath and karri forest edges. Facilities are basic and centred on designated 4WD tracks, walk trails, lookouts and campgrounds such as those near Windy Harbour, Yeagarup and Black Point. Activities focus on four-wheel driving on beach and dunes, bushwalking, fishing, swimming, birdwatching and photography in a natural, exposed Southern Ocean environment.
