About City of Adelaide Clipper Ship
The City of Adelaide is the world's oldest surviving clipper ship, built in 1864 in Sunderland, England, and now preserved on land at Dock 2 in Port Adelaide, South Australia. Renowned for its composite timber and iron construction, the vessel carried migrants and cargo between Britain and Adelaide for 23 years. Now managed as a museum ship, it offers guided tours showcasing its hull, decks and migration history as a significant maritime heritage attraction.
