About Chantharakasem National Museum
Chantharakasem National Museum is housed in the historic Chantharakasem Palace (Wang Na) on U Thong Road in Hua Ro, Ayutthaya. Built in 1577 as the residence of Prince Naresuan by King Maha Thammaracha, it later served as the Front Palace for Ayutthaya kings. Operated by the Fine Arts Department, the museum displays Ayutthaya-period Buddha images, votive tablets, ceramics, weapons and royal regalia illustrating the art and history of the former capital.
