History of Ceduna Jetty
Ceduna Jetty was originally constructed in the late 19th century to serve coastal shipping for the developing agricultural district before road and rail connections were established. It was progressively extended to accommodate larger vessels and the export of wheat and other produce. The jetty reflects the maritime history of Murat Bay and the role of jetties in servicing isolated west coast settlements.
