History of Bundoora Park
The parkland was part of pastoral estates associated with Bundoora Homestead, built 1899-1900. The land was acquired by Preston Council in 1920 for public recreation and progressively developed as a metropolitan park. Cooper's Settlement, established in the 1970s, preserves and interprets 19th-century rural buildings relocated to the site, while Mt Cooper incorporates a former quarry area rehabilitated as parkland.
