About Broken Hill City Art Gallery
The Broken Hill City Art Gallery is the oldest regional art gallery in New South Wales, located on Argent Street in central Broken Hill. Established in 1904, it houses an extensive permanent collection of Australian art with a strong focus on outback and desert artists. Notable for its holdings of works by the Brushmen of the Bush, Aboriginal art, and colonial to contemporary pieces, it operates as a key cultural institution for the Far West region.
